THE ZC420

The Zero Compromise Optic ZC420 combines excellent optical performance with unmatched mechanical precision in the best ultra-short design ever developed.
It combines the highest levels of mechanical precision, unmatched optical performance, and extreme durability in a compact package that can compete with much larger riflescopes. This small riflescope with a length of 325mm (12.8 inches) and a weight of only 986g (34.8oz) is ideal for any application where size and maximum performance are paramount.

The low magnification provides a wide field of view for rapid target acquisition while the mechanical system allows for 35 mils of elevation adjustment for the extreme long range engagements when required. Never before has so much performance been combined in such an elegant and compact riflescope.

UNSURPASSED OPTICAL PERFORMANCE

Our optical engineers have set the next standard for clarity, light transmission and resolution in a compact package. Never before has such performance been seen in this magnification range and lens size. Total light transmission is 92% while maintaining excellent color fidelity matched with best in class resolution for the ultimate viewing experience. The very best in optical performance results in heightened viewing comfort for all day use so you can enjoy being behind your scope for extended shooting sessions.

Every ZCO product places the reticle in the First Focal Plane of the optical system. This means that the reticle stays the
same size in relation to the target no matter the magnification setting.
Whether you are using a mil radian (MIL) or Minute of Angle (MOA) reticle, it is important to remember this is simply an
angular unit of measure. This angle is the same no matter the distance; 1 MIL at 100 yards is also 1 MIL at 500 yards and
1 MOA at 100 yards is also 1 MOA at 500 yards.
This is important for making corrections to the elevation or windage turrets through observed impact of the bullet down
range, no matter the distance, as well as for range estimation with the reticle.
Follow the desired formula below to determine your target distance.
MIL
1. Target size in inches x 27.77 / Target size in MIL = Target distance in Yards.
2. Target size in inches x 25.4 / Target size in MIL = Target distance in Meters.
3. Target size in cm x 10.93 / Target size in MIL = Target distance in Yards.
4. Target size in cm x 10 / Target size in MIL = Target distance in Meters.
MOA
1. Target size in inches x 95.5 / Target size in MOA = Target distance in Yards
2. Target size in inches x 87.3 / Target size in MOA = Target distance in Meters.
3. Target size in cm x 37.60 / Target size in MOA = Target distance in Yards.
4. Target size in cm X 34.38 / Target size in MOA = Target distance in Meters.

Follow this example:
You know a steel target down range measures 18” x 24” and a mil reading with the reticle in your scope gives 1.00 MIL
and 1.33 MIL respectively, and you want the distance to be in “Yards.”
18 x 27.77 = 499.86 Yards         24 x 27.77 = 501.11 Yards
1.00 MIL                                      1.33 MIL

In this example, we could figure for a 500 yard target distance. Obtaining accurate mil readings through the scope takes
practice, and the more accurate the reading, the more accurate the calculated distance.
Since the reticle is in the First Focal Plane (FFP) and we know that mils or MOA is an angular unit of measure, we can
make fast and accurate corrections to the elevation or windage turrets on the scope when we observe bullet impact down
range that is not where we want it to be. The reticle now essentially becomes a magnified ruler and is accurate no matter
the distance.
Place the crosshairs where you want the bullet to impact, then observe where the bullet actually went. Read the reticle for
both vertical and horizontal displacement (MIL or MOA depending on the reticle) based on actual bullet impact. If the group
needs to come up and left for example, dial the exact amount on the elevation turret in the UP direction and LEFT on the
windage turret as measured with the reticle.

The new MPCT3 reticle from ZERO COMPROMISE OPTIC is a next generation reticle for the modern rifle shooter.
Building on our highly sought after MPCT line of reticles, the MPCT3 has multiple enhancements and some extremely
unique and advanced design elements. Precision rifle shooters will appreciate the uncluttered center area that still
allows precise shot placement and clear target observation while retaining excellent reference points for fast follow-up
shots when required.
A dot-matrix design provides the shooter with both elevation and windage correction points in 0.20 Mil increments
while still “feeling” uncluttered due to the minimal dot sizes. The open circle whole-mil values speed reticle visibility and
discrimination while keeping target observation exceptionally high.
Above the center aiming point are two mils worth of hold-under capability allowing an intermediate range target to be
dialed on the elevation turret, but closer range targets to still be engaged with the utmost of precision. The newly created
“Fatal Funnel” concept from ZERO COMPROMISE OPTIC is positioned in the upper half of the field of view where it is
out of the way, yet easily utilized. This advanced feature is designed to provide much higher capability than any other
rapid reticle range finding designs on the market. An industry leading four different target sizes are quickly bracketed
inside the funnel and a direct range readout given.
The Fatal Funnel is optimized for target widths of 6, 9, 12, and 18 inches and provides distances in yards. Acquiring
rapid target ranges has never been faster or easier for these very common target sizes which encompass 100% IPSC,
66% IPSC, 50% IPSC, as well as any other square, rectangular, diamond, or circle shaped target with these widths. The
user simply brackets a known target size either between the center line and the corresponding funnel edge, or inside the
whole funnel. Once appropriately bracketed, simply read and interpolate the yardage to that target size.
Example: To determine the range to a 100% sized IPSC target that measures 18 inches wide, place the Fatal Funnel
over the target with the center line bisecting the target vertically. Look to the right side of the fatal funnel and read the
range where the funnel line passes over the right-side edge of the target. If the target edge is between two given
ranges, interpolate an approximate yardage based on distance between the provided yardages. Adjust your scope
turrets for that target distance or utilize the reticle for an appropriate hold. Targets of six or nine-inch sizes utilize the
center dashed line of the Fatal Funnel for one of the target edges, and the yardage is read from the appropriate side
of the funnel.
Standard Mil-ranging functions are still present in the reticle for target sizes other than those utilized in the Fatal Funnel.
